Vikramjeet Singh Sahney (also spelled Vikramjit Singh Sahney) is an Indian entrepreneur, philanthropist, social activist, and politician associated with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). He was born on 20 February 1962 in Kotkapura, Faridkot district, Punjab.

Background & Early Life

Sahney is originally from Faridkot district in Punjab and later expanded his career and family base in Delhi.

            He holds master’s degrees in Economics and Business Administration.

Political Role in AAP

    Rajya Sabha Member

AAP nominated him as a candidate for the Rajya Sabha (Upper House of Parliament) in 2022 from Punjab along with Balbir Singh Seechewal.

            He was elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha and began his term on 4 July 2022.

Parliamentary Activity

As a Rajya Sabha MP, he has:

 Participated in parliamentary committees such as the Joint Committee on the Multi-State Co-operative Societies (Amendment) Bill, 2022 and the Committee on Commerce.

Served as a Permanent Special Invitee to the consultative committees for the Ministry of External Affairs and the Ministry of Finance.

Launched scholarship programmes to help economically disadvantaged Punjabi students prepare for UPSC, PCS, and defense exams.
